Ear of Change is a contemporary music zine for the non-conformist; an antidote for the proverbial fear of change that seams to have led the music industry astray for so long. It was founded in 2010 by editor Jedan, a music industry veteran with 15+ years of experience, having worked as a producer, performer, deejay, writer, sound designer, label owner, remixer, multimedia, web and graphic artist.
We write music reviews and conduct interviews with independent and unsigned artists that are breaking genre boundaries, pushing limits, and instigating change - musicians that aren't afraid to go against the grain, residing left-of-center regardless of potential profitability. We're not especially interested in fads, gimmicks, or pop-star clones. Your fashion portfolio will earn you no points here.
It's all about the ear.
You'll find that our staff is fairly open-minded when it comes to the types of music we'll review. Regardless of genre, music style, and instrumentation, we're bent on promoting good music that is original or, at the least, authentic.
